Why Bioreal Organics
Organic yeast expertise developed over four decades
Bioreal® brings together Agrano's specialist organic yeast and fermentation experience in Germany with Australian commercial supply and support from MH Bioreal.
The result is an established range of organic yeast ingredients for food manufacturing, commercial baking, plant-based foods, nutritional products and selected specialist applications.
Organic yeast process
Organic production starts with how the yeast is grown
Yeast is a cultivated microorganism, so organic production begins well before the finished ingredient. The cultivation medium, raw materials and production process all matter.
Agrano developed and refined its own production method for organic yeast cream. This yeast cream forms the basis for a broad range of Bioreal products, including fresh and dried yeast, flakes, powders and extracts.
The yeast is fermented under sterile conditions, and Agrano states that no chemical or synthetic substances are added during the yeast-production process.

Why it matters
More than a conventional yeast range
Bioreal is not a single ingredient. It is a range of active and inactive organic yeast products developed for different functions across food and specialist manufacturing.
The range includes ingredients for fermentation and leavening, savoury flavour development, nutritional formulation and specialist product development. Different products provide different formats, sensory profiles, compositions and technical characteristics.

Organic from cultivation
Organic production begins with the agricultural raw materials, cultivation medium and fermentation process, rather than being treated only as a finished-product attribute.
Controlled production
Agrano's production processes follow HACCP principles. Key production parameters are monitored throughout production and analysed in a laboratory.
Traceability and documentation
Agrano maintains traceability from the raw materials through to the finished product and customer, supported by product-specific technical and certification documentation.
Agrano's HACCP-based processes form part of its integrated management system and IFS certification. Product-specific certification and documentation should be confirmed for the ingredient being evaluated.
